Burien, WALocal News

The City of Burien seeks volunteers for its annual Clean Sweep event scheduled for April 26, 2025, from 9 a. m. to 12 p. m. Participants can sign up at Discover Burien’s office located at 611 SW 152nd Street.

The event, organized in partnership with Recology, will provide a continental breakfast and lunch, alongside a free bike raffle. Volunteers will collectively work to beautify public spaces by picking up litter and debris, reinforcing community engagement. This year’s initiative emphasizes civic pride and environmental stewardship, encouraging local collaboration. Organizers express the importance of coming together with family, friends, and co-workers for this cause. Last year, similar efforts led to the collection of over 1,000 pounds of debris, showcasing the community's commitment.

Events like these play a crucial role in fostering local pride and enhancing the environment.
