The toddler had been missing since Sunday when his mother, hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center, asked an acquaintance, Michael Mau, to watch him temporarily. After losing contact with both Mau and her son, the mother expressed concerns to hospital staff, prompting them to alert the police. Officers began searching for Kevin, but initial efforts yielded no results. Just after 2 a.
