UPDATE SW Chamber's Sept. 23 'Meet the Candidates' now open to the public

The Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce has announced a significant change to its "Meet the Candidates" Reception, now open to the public on September 23, rather than just chamber members. This important event will take place at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Seattle Airport Southcenter from 5 to 8 p. m. Candidates from Burien, Des Moines, SeaTac, Tukwila, and the Port of Seattle are invited to introduce themselves during the reception. Each candidate will have a three-minute window to speak and will provide campaign materials to attendees, allowing for meaningful engagement.

The cost to attend is $20, with registration options available online or through Carol Kolson at the Chamber. The event will feature appetizers, wine, and beer, enhancing the networking experience. Presenting sponsors include Boeing and MasterPark, highlighting the event's community support. South King Media will be in attendance to capture the event through photography and audio recordings for their blog, further emphasizing the importance of community engagement in local politics.
