Applications now open for Port of Seattles South King County Fund

The Port of Seattle has officially opened applications for its South King County Fund Economic Recovery Grant, a vital initiative aimed at aiding communities severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This Fund is designed to create equity-based partnerships and provide essential resources to near-airport communities, including Burien and SeaTac. It specifically targets projects related to workforce development and job creation in aviation, maritime, and green industries. Community organizations and non-profits are encouraged to apply, especially those focused on serving economically vulnerable populations such as people of color, immigrants, and veterans. With a total of $1 million in funding, organizations can request up to $100,000 for their proposals.
