Two men face multiple charges after violent kidnapping of woman

Burien, WALocal News

Two men, Kevin Daniel Sanabria Ojeda and Alexander Moises Arnaez-Gutierrez, have been charged with the violent kidnapping and attempted murder of 58-year-old Maria Guadalupe Hernandez Velazquez in Tukwila, Washington. Prosecutors have characterized the crime as premeditated and brutal, with both defendants facing multiple serious charges, including attempted first-degree murder and vehicle theft. Hernandez was kidnapped at gunpoint outside her apartment, where she suffered extensive torture before being shot and discarded near Snoqualmie Pass. Miraculously, she survived by pretending to be dead and later flagged down help. The level of violence and planning involved in this case has raised significant concerns about organized criminal activity in the area, with the suspects reportedly having ties to the gang Tren De Aragua.

Ojeda has admitted to his role in the crime, assisting law enforcement in identifying Arnaez-Gutierrez as an accomplice. Both men are currently being held on high bail as the investigation continues, with a third suspect still under scrutiny. This case underscores the urgent issue of violent crime in the region and the need for community awareness and safety measures.
