Kennedy Catholic receives over 1 million to build new athletic field - The B-Town (Burien) Blog
Kennedy Catholic High School in Burien is set to enhance its athletic facilities thanks to over $1 million in commitments from local supporters. The lead donation from philanthropist William F. Eisiminger grants him naming rights for the new field, highlighting the community's investment in local education and sports. The Kennedy Catholic Athletic Booster Club has also contributed significantly to the funding efforts. To ensure quality and expertise, the school has partnered with Bassetti Architects and D.
A. Hogan and Associates, both of whom have extensive experience with school projects. The complex aims to feature a multi-phase development, with the first phase focusing on a new turfed athletic field suitable for football, soccer, lacrosse, and track & field. Construction is scheduled to begin this summer, aligning with the school's commitment to enhancing student athletic experiences. The design team is currently working through the permitting process with relevant city officials and WSDOT, ensuring compliance and community engagement.
This project not only enriches the school's facilities but also fosters local pride and support for student-athletes.
