Burien's 93rd Annual Independence Day Parade starts at 3 p. m. on July 4, 2014, featuring King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg as Emcee. Satterberg, a graduate of Highline High School, has served as prosecutor since 2007 and is known for his musical involvement in local bands. The parade begins at the intersection of Ambaum Blvd.

SW and SW 149th Street, moving through downtown Burien for approximately 90 minutes. This timing allows families to enjoy the festivities before evening barbecues and fireworks. The event, presented by the City of Burien and the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce, showcases the vibrant community spirit and local businesses. Burien Town Square and City Hall enhance the parade backdrop, contributing to the sense of pride in the area. Attendees can expect a lively atmosphere filled with local patriotism.
