Power outage hits BurienSeaTac area Sunday morning

On Sunday morning, December 5, 2021, power outages left at least 963 customers in Burien and SeaTac without electricity. Seattle City Light noted that two outages occurred at 6:28 a. m. , while a third was reported at 4:16 a. m.

The utility company is currently unable to provide further details but has committed to releasing information as it becomes available. Restoration times are projected to range from 1 p. m. to 4 p. m.

Residents can check City Light’s outage map for updates on the situation. These outages underscore the vulnerability of electrical infrastructure in the area, especially during inclement weather.
