Bjorneby, who passed away on April 28, 2025, was a beloved figure in the community, known for his dedication to local civic initiatives and as the former owner of Bjorneby’s Carstar. His wife, Anna, passed away in October 2024, marking a profound loss for the family after nearly 68 years of marriage.

On July 19, the Waterland Parade will feature classic cars in tribute to Bjorneby, showcasing his love for automobiles. The memorial event aims to reflect his commitment to community and connection, welcoming all who were touched by his life. Organizers emphasize the importance of celebrating his legacy, which has left a lasting impact on the region.
