Highline Public Schools FREE Summer Meal Service begins Monday, June 22

Highline Public Schools will launch its free summer meal service on June 22, 2020, for all students and children 18 years and younger. The program offers grab-n-go meals without requiring registration or identification, ensuring accessibility for families. Meals will be distributed on Mondays and Thursdays, with families receiving three days' worth of meals on Mondays and four days' worth on Thursdays. Locations include Alcove at Seahurst Apartments and Glacier Middle School, among others, with specific times for each site. Families are encouraged to bring bags to carry the meals and must maintain social distancing while waiting in line.

If a child cannot attend, someone else may pick up meals on their behalf. This initiative aims to support families in need during the summer months, particularly in light of challenges posed by the pandemic. Highline Public Schools emphasizes the importance of nutrition for children during the summer break.
