The 'Pop Shops on Main' initiative in downtown Bothell is a vibrant retail marketplace promoting minority and women-owned businesses, enhancing the local economy and community spirit. Open Thursday through Sunday, this marketplace features unique offerings such as artisan chocolates from Bon Chocolats and all-natural handcrafted soaps from Citrus Tree. Launched in March 2021, the initiative was made possible through a partnership with Mercy Corps Northwest, which provides microfinancing and essential resources to entrepreneurs. Each of the four participating businesses is woman-owned, showcasing products that range from custom artwork to sustainably crafted culinary items. Deputy Mayor Jeanne Zornes highlights the initiative's role in supporting local entrepreneurship and boosting tourism in the downtown area.

This program reflects Bothell's commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and fostering a diverse business environment.
