Edmonds man hospitalized after driver hits motorcycle on I-405
An Edmonds man was hospitalized after being thrown from his motorcycle in a collision with a Nissan Pathfinder SUV on I-405 in Bothell. The accident occurred on a Tuesday afternoon around 12:22 p. m. when the SUV, driven by a 23-year-old woman, changed lanes and struck the motorcycle. This caused the motorcycle to hit the guardrail, ejecting the rider from his seat.
Thankfully, the 23-year-old rider was wearing a helmet, which may have mitigated the severity of his injuries. He was promptly transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for further medical attention. Fortunately, no injuries were reported for the occupants of the SUV involved in the crash. This incident highlights the importance of motorcycle safety gear and vigilant driving to prevent accidents on busy highways.
