Snohomish County and its surrounding cities have announced a $9. 6 million funding initiative to tackle significant mental health and housing challenges. Utilizing funds from the American Rescue Plan Act, the initiative aims to provide shelter for unsheltered individuals and support at least 130 people in maintaining their current housing. The plan will fund behavioral health services through dedicated case managers and social workers across cities like Everett, Lynnwood, and Marysville. Notable projects include Marysville's $500,000 investment in transitional housing and Edmonds' Household Support Grants program for low-income families.
