In a concerning incident early Tuesday morning, a fire in Mill Creek displaced three adults and their dog, thankfully with no injuries reported. Firefighters received the emergency call just before 4:30 a. m. and promptly arrived at the scene in the 14100 block of 30th Avenue SE. Upon arrival, they found the fire primarily situated in the attic and garage, managing to contain the flames to those areas.

Despite their efforts, smoke damage impacted much of the home, leading to assistance from the Red Cross and Support 7 for the displaced family. The fire department noted that the family had working smoke alarms, highlighting their importance in saving lives. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the fire, which remains unknown. This incident underscores the critical role of fire safety measures in residential buildings, and local residents are encouraged to check their smoke alarms to ensure they are operational.
