This vision is accompanied by a set of strategic priorities developed across seven distinct focus areas, which will help to operationalize the vision. The Council formally adopted both the 2040 Vision and its strategic priorities on March 7, emphasizing their importance in the city's governance and development. These strategic priorities are expected to evolve over the next three years, adapting to the city's changing needs, while the core vision will remain constant. This initiative will guide the city's policy-making processes, priority-setting, and budget development, ensuring that the future direction is aligned with community needs and aspirations.

The adoption of the 2040 Vision signals a proactive approach to urban planning and community engagement. Residents can look forward to a more structured approach to the city's growth and development in the coming years. As Bothell moves towards this vision, the Council invites community members to stay informed and engaged in the planning process.
