Tabor Academy cafeteria worker arrested, accused of exposing himself to students, police say
Joao A. Andrade, a 38-year-old cafeteria worker at Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts, faces serious allegations of indecent exposure. The incident came to light after two students reported Andrade for allegedly exposing himself while in the kitchen area of the school. Following these reports, police launched an investigation that led to Andrade's arrest. Employed by Flik Independent School Dining, he was swiftly removed from the campus and is now legally barred from returning.
Tabor Academy expressed gratitude towards the students for their courage in reporting the incident and emphasized their dedication to ensuring a safe environment for all students. During a court appearance, Andrade communicated through an interpreter and acknowledged his suspension from work. He was released on personal recognizance and is expected to return to court next month. This incident raises important discussions about safety in educational settings and the responsibilities of staff toward students.
