MAYOR MICHELLE WU ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL FALL PERFORMANCE SEASON OF BOSTON FAMILY DAYS, EXPANDING FREE CULTURAL ACCESS FOR BOSTON STUDENTS AND FAMILIES
Mayor Michelle Wu launched the inaugural fall performance season of Boston Family Days, which offers free access to live performances for Boston students and their families. This program builds on successful museum partnerships, aiming to enhance cultural access to performing arts institutions. Participating venues from October 2025 to early January 2026 will provide over 2,500 free tickets for students in grades Pre-K through 12. Mayor Wu stated that the initiative invests in lifelong learning and curiosity among students. Boston Public Schools Superintendent Mary Skipper stressed the commitment to providing enriching opportunities that engage students creatively.
The fall lineup will feature performances from well-known institutions such as the Boston Ballet and Boston Symphony Orchestra. Additional educational programming, including artist talks and backstage tours, will be available. The program underscores the city's commitment to making the arts accessible to all families in Boston.
