Alan Dershowitz decries bigoted vendor who denied him pierogi at Marthas Vineyard farmers market

Boston, MALocal News

Alan Dershowitz announced intentions to sue a vendor at a Martha’s Vineyard farmers’ market who allegedly refused to sell him pierogi based on his political beliefs. The former attorney for Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein claimed in a livestream that the vendor explicitly told him, "I won’t sell them to you because I don’t approve of your politics. " Dershowitz labeled the incident as "pure McCarthyism," arguing that denying service based on legal representation is discriminatory. He hopes to resolve the matter amicably, despite the possibility of legal action to prevent political bias in service. The vendor, Good Pierogi, has not responded to requests for comment but shared an Instagram video showing police intervening during the incident.

This confrontation is not Dershowitz's first on the island; he previously clashed with comedian Larry David in 2021 over similar political tensions. Dershowitz has criticized the social climate in Martha's Vineyard, describing it as intolerant towards his views. He remains unfazed by the lack of pierogi, humorously noting that he can survive without them.
