Train display at Downtown Bend library through Monday

The Downtown Bend Public Library is currently featuring a holiday model train display by Michael Lavrich, affectionately known as the Train Man, which will be available for viewing until Monday. Visitors can explore the enchanting display during set hours from 10 a. m. to 12:30 p. m.

and 3 p. m. to 5:30 p. m. , with a strict limit of 20 minutes per visit to accommodate the high volume of attendees.

The library anticipates as many as 800 visitors daily, demonstrating the popularity of this festive attraction that has captivated the community for over 20 years. To ensure safety and accessibility, especially on Saturday, room capacity will be reduced to facilitate ADA access. Lavrich’s holiday train sets evoke wonder in both children and adults, making it a cherished seasonal tradition. Families often find themselves waiting in lengthy lines, reflecting the event's significance in Bend's holiday celebrations.
