The memorial service for 16-year-old Bradley Hughes drew a large crowd of around 200 friends, family, and community members at Bend High School, following his untimely death in a car crash on January 9. Attendees began the gathering with a moment of silence, which quickly transitioned into a dance to Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off," embodying Bradley's joyful spirit. The gym was decorated with baskets of his favorite snacks and a slideshow of his life, emphasizing the cherished memories he left behind. Jason Schneider, Bradley’s uncle, shared touching stories that highlighted Bradley's ability to spread joy, including a memorable Thanksgiving anecdote. His mother, Julie Hughes, expressed how Bradley always offered love and support to others, while his father, Marshall Hughes, reflected on their last moments together.
