The 3rd Annual Juneteenth Festival in Bellingham will celebrate freedom on June 21 at Maritime Heritage Park, featuring live music, vendors, and a parade from 2 p. m. to 6 p. m. This free event aims to foster community engagement and family fun.

Meanwhile, the Downtime Summer Kickoff in Ferndale will take place on June 20-21 with live music, kids’ activities, and art exhibits. The Puget Sound Antique Tractor Association hosts its Spring Tractor and Truck Pulls at Berthusen Park, starting at 9 a. m. on Saturday, showcasing competitive motor sports for families. For indoor entertainment, the Mount Baker Theatre will present "Down the Rabbit Hole," featuring various dance performances throughout the weekend.

This variety of events emphasizes the rich cultural landscape and community spirit in Whatcom County. Local residents have multiple options to enjoy summer festivities, regardless of weather conditions. Engaging in such activities fosters community ties and supports local businesses and artists.
