Former site of Oculis Lodge up for auction

Bellingham, WALocal News

The Oculis Lodge site in Glacier, WA, will be auctioned on June 9, starting at a significantly lower bid of $75,000 compared to its previous listing of $725,000. This 2-acre property was originally envisioned as a luxury glamping destination with several igloo-shaped domes. Currently, it only includes one dome, along with a pre-approved septic system and limited exterior features. Bidders must submit a $10,000 deposit to make offers on the property. Open houses are available for interested parties on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this week.

The auction presents an opportunity for buyers looking to invest in a unique property near the North Cascades. The Oculis project faced challenges in development, leading to the current auction. The outcome could impact future glamping ventures in the region.
