Pair of suspected drug dealers arrested in Ferndale

Bellingham, WALocal News

Two suspected drug dealers from Blaine, WA, were arrested on May 20 in Ferndale. Deputies from the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office discovered the suspects in a parked vehicle, where they found one individual already wanted in connection to a prior cocaine bust. The female driver was observed holding a drug pipe, prompting deputies to secure a search warrant. They subsequently recovered approximately 160 grams of illegal drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with scales, baggies, and cash. Both suspects are being held without bail at the Whatcom County Jail.

This arrest underscores the persistent issue of drug trafficking in the area, particularly concerning fentanyl and methamphetamine. Law enforcement continues to focus on disrupting local drug operations to enhance community safety. The case may lead to further investigations into broader trafficking networks.
