Blaine Schools announce new superintendent

Bellingham, WALocal News

Blaine schools appointed Dan Chaplik as interim superintendent for the upcoming school year, effective immediately. Chaplik served as superintendent at Sultan School District since 2007 and began his educational career as an elementary school teacher in Blaine. He opted to return to Blaine instead of retiring at the end of this school year. Chaplik will take over from Christopher Granger, who transitions to the Sultan position on July 1. This leadership change is part of a broader movement within the local education system.

The Blaine School Board expressed confidence in Chaplik's ability to guide the district. Granger's new role in Sultan represents a continuation of educational leadership in the region. Chaplik's extensive experience in education is expected to foster growth and stability in Blaine schools.
