Port of Bellingham announces new Director of Aviation at Bellingham Airport

Previously, Rodriguez served as the Airport Operations Manager for five years, where he successfully increased flight options with Alaska Airlines and Allegiant Air. He also led various capital improvement projects and ensured the airport adhered to all federal regulations. His new role includes overseeing a multimillion-dollar runway project and upgrades to the air traffic control tower, which are crucial for modernizing airport facilities. “Bellingham International Airport plays a vital role in our region’s transportation network,” Rodriguez remarked, expressing his honor to serve in this capacity.

The Port of Bellingham's Executive Director, Rob Fix, emphasized that Rodriguez’s experience and teamwork make him the perfect fit for this leadership role.
