A suspected feud between coworkers culminated in an RV fire at VanderPol Building Components in Lynden, WA, on April 16. Officers responded to a suspicious fire report on E. Badger Road, where a witness stated that a coworker entered another employee's RV without permission and discarded belongings before igniting the fire. Lynden Police Chief Steve Taylor confirmed that the suspect, a 35-year-old man, has been arrested and charged with burglary and arson, remaining in Whatcom County Jail without bail. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

The ongoing conflict between the two workers, characterized by a "long-standing mutual dislike," raises concerns about workplace safety and employee relations. The police investigation revealed sufficient evidence to support the charges against the suspect. This incident underscores the potential consequences of unresolved workplace disputes. Local authorities emphasize the importance of addressing conflicts before they escalate into dangerous situations.
