Bellingham-born band Death Cab for Cutie announces Seattle tour stop
Death Cab for Cutie will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their acclaimed album "Plans" with two performances in Seattle this summer. The band formed in 1997 while members attended Western Washington University in Bellingham and rose to prominence with their 2005 release, which received a Grammy nomination and went platinum. They will perform the album in its entirety at Climate Pledge Arena on July 31 and August 2, with the second show added due to overwhelming ticket demand. In 2019, Death Cab for Cutie performed in Bellingham with fellow WWU alumni Odesza, showcasing their local roots. Despite their national success, the band maintains a strong connection to the Pacific Northwest.
Tickets for the concerts can be accessed via the Climate Pledge Arena website. This anniversary tour highlights the band's lasting impact on the indie rock scene and their dedication to their fans. The performances are highly anticipated, reflecting the enduring popularity of their music.
