Access to the Sehome Arboretum in Bellingham, WA, is set to be interrupted due to ongoing construction related to the House of Healing. Bellingham Parks and Recreation has confirmed that Arboretum Drive will be closed until April 15 to facilitate the installation of electrical services. This construction project, spearheaded by Western Washington University, will result in a Coast Salish-style longhouse designed to promote healing and cultural understanding within the community. Once completed, the House of Healing will include a gathering hall, both indoor and outdoor kitchens, and student lounges, creating a versatile space for educational activities. Additionally, the project will incorporate an EV charging station, reflecting a commitment to sustainable practices.
