Port of Bellingham launches survey to see where residents prefer to travel from BLI

Bellingham, WALocal News

Bellingham International Airport encourages Whatcom County residents to provide feedback on desired travel destinations through a new survey. The Port of Bellingham aims to utilize the collected data to guide decisions on airline partnerships and route offerings. Currently, the only major carriers at the airport are Alaska and Allegiant, after Southwest ceased operations in 2024. Allegiant recently announced plans to launch flights from Bellingham to Burbank starting in February. Additionally, the airport is preparing for potential international flights to Mexico, reflecting a broader strategy to enhance its service offerings.

Community input is crucial for tailoring these services to meet traveler needs. The survey's findings could significantly influence the airport's future operations and partnerships. Engaging residents in this process demonstrates the Port's commitment to aligning its services with local preferences.
