Sehome High School student killed in weekend car crash in Bellingham

A 17-year-old senior from Sehome High School died in a car crash in Bellingham on Nov. 16. The accident occurred near the Boulevard just south of the State Street roundabout at approximately 9 p. m. Firefighters extinguished the flames engulfing the vehicle on the South Bay Trail shortly after the crash.

The Whatcom County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the driver’s identity and ruled the death as accidental. Bellingham Police are actively investigating the cause of the crash, with no further details released as of yet. Sehome High School is mourning the tragic loss of a student, highlighting the impact of such incidents on local communities.
