BRIEF Right lane closure on southbound I-5 this week south of Bellingham

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced a right lane closure on southbound I-5 from the North Lake Samish overpass to just south of Chuckanut Drive. The closure will take place from 8 a. m. to 4 p. m.

on Wednesday, November 19, and Thursday, November 20. Crews will remove rocks from the area during these hours, which may affect traffic flow. WSDOT warns that drivers should expect delays while the work is underway. This maintenance project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance safety and improve road conditions in the region. Local commuters are encouraged to seek alternate routes to mitigate congestion.
