Bellingham acupuncturist accused of sexual misconduct with patients has license suspended

Bellingham, WALocal News

Timothy Baglio, an acupuncturist in Bellingham, WA, faces serious allegations of sexual misconduct that led to the suspension of his license. The Washington Department of Health confirmed that the Bellingham Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation based on reports from two former patients. One patient alleged that Baglio made inappropriate comments and engaged in unwanted physical contact during treatment sessions. Following these incidents, the same victim reported receiving numerous text messages from Baglio, including requests not to report him as he was already “in trouble. ” Baglio's license expired in August, coinciding with his suspension.

The allegations highlight critical issues of patient safety and ethical standards in the healthcare profession. As the investigation by BPD unfolds, it raises questions about the accountability of practitioners in sensitive health-related fields. The ongoing inquiry emphasizes the importance of maintaining trust and safety within therapeutic relationships.
