Whatcom County breweries win big at 2025 Washington Beer Awards

Whatcom County breweries celebrated their success at the 2025 Washington Beer Awards on Nov. 3, illustrating the region's craft beer prowess. Garden Path Fermentation won six medals, including two Golds, and was named Very Small Brewery of the Year. Larrabee Lager Company, last year's Small Brewery of the Year, earned medals for its Munich Helles and German Pilsner. Kulshan Brewing garnered three awards, including a Gold for their Kulshan Especial Mexican lager.

North Fork Brewery, recognized as Whatcom County's oldest brewery, won two awards, including a Gold for Batch 96 in the Wood and Barrel Aged Beer category. Other winners from the area included Aslan Brewing, Wander Brewing, Otherlands Beer, and Beach Cat Brewing. The awards ceremony also recognized Mari and Will Kemper from Chuckanut Brewery, who were inducted into the Washington Brewers Guild Hall of Fame. This event not only highlights local breweries' achievements but also emphasizes the growing craft beer culture in the region.
