Road construction in Ferndale may cause delays this week

Ferndale will close Ferndale Terrace between Vista Drive and Hendrickson Avenue on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 5 a. m. to 6 p. m.

for road reconstruction and widening as part of the Ferndale Terrace Improvement Project. Detour signs will be in place to help drivers navigate the closure. Concurrently, lane shifts will occur on Main Street from Oct. 16 to Oct. 24 due to utility work associated with the Civic Campus Project.

Flaggers will manage traffic during this period, maintaining two lanes open but occasionally stopping all vehicles. These infrastructure improvements are critical for accommodating future growth and enhancing safety in the area. Residents should expect delays and plan alternate routes during construction. The city's ongoing commitment to improving roadways reflects its dedication to community development. Local officials encourage drivers to remain patient and adhere to traffic management instructions.
