Bellingham Police investigating shooting death near Guide Meridian

A shooting near West Horton Road and the Guide Meridian in Bellingham resulted in a 26-year-old man's death and injuries to a 25-year-old on Saturday, October 18. According to Bellingham Police Lt. Claudia Murphy, witnesses reported hearing gunfire and seeing a vehicle flee the scene, but initial investigations revealed no evidence of a crime. Shortly after, two men with gunshot wounds arrived at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.

The older victim succumbed to his injuries, while the younger man is in stable condition and expected to recover.
