Tastiest Taco Competition begins this fall in Whatcom County

Bellingham, WALocal News

United Way of Whatcom County is set to host its third annual Tastiest Taco Competition this fall, engaging the community in a culinary challenge. For $30, participants receive a booklet that provides one free taco from each of the eight local restaurants involved in the event. Eateries like Black Sheep and Bordertown Mexican Grill will present their signature tacos for tasting. Following their culinary journey, attendees will cast their votes for the best taco, ultimately helping to crown a winner. All proceeds from the competition will support the Community Impact Fund, which aids residents experiencing financial hardships.

This initiative reflects United Way’s commitment to community welfare and local support. The taco tour begins on September 30 and continues until October 28, allowing ample time for residents to participate. Engaging local businesses and fostering community spirit, this event highlights the rich culinary landscape of Whatcom County.
