Juvenile suspect arrested following drive-by shooting in Everson

Everson police arrested a male juvenile in connection with a drive-by shooting on Wednesday night, where no injuries were reported. Witnesses described a silver SUV playing loud music before multiple gunshots were heard near East Main Street and Greens Lane around 9:30 p. m. Following the shooting, deputies found a vehicle that matched the witnesses' description, leading to a nearby residence. A search warrant for the vehicle and residence revealed a pistol with the serial number removed, along with ammunition matching the shell casings found at the scene.

Authorities have not disclosed additional evidence. The juvenile suspect was taken to juvenile detention, and police are continuing their investigation into the incident. Everson Police emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the community. Drive-by shootings have raised concerns about youth violence in the area, prompting local authorities to increase patrols.
