Raiders quarterback Geno Smith, who previously started for Seattle, played the opening series, completing one of three passes for 15 yards. Rookie Jalen Milroe took over for the Seahawks in the second half, completing 6 of 10 passes for 61 yards and celebrating his first NFL game experience. The game featured a late comeback by the Raiders, with Carlson kicking a 51-yard field goal to tie the game.
Seattle scored first with a 24-yard touchdown run from George Holani, and Drew Lock added a touchdown pass in the second quarter. An undrafted rookie, Jacardia Wright, later scored for Seattle, while Raiders rookie Cam Miller threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to Shedrick Jackson in the fourth quarter.
