Cal Raleigh, the Seattle Mariners catcher, received his first All-Star selection and was named American League Player of the Month for June. Leading MLB with 33 home runs, Raleigh is on track to challenge Aaron Judge's record of 62 home runs in a season. His selection is historic, as he is the second Mariners catcher to make the All-Star game and the first since Dan Wilson in 1996. In a recent game, the Mariners defeated the Royals 3-2 while Raleigh took a break to celebrate his accolades. Randy Arozarena initiated the scoring with his fourth home run in three games.

Julio Rodriguez contributed with an infield single that drove in a run, and Arozarena added an insurance run with a sacrifice fly. Mariners pitcher Logan Gilbert struck out seven over four and two-thirds innings, while Andres Munoz secured his 19th save. The Mariners will look to win the series tonight against the Royals, with All-Star hopeful Bryan Woo on the mound.
