BellHop shuttle service wins 2025 Vision Award

Bellevue, WALocal News

BellHop, Bellevue's free shuttle service, was awarded the 2025 Transportation Vision Award for its significant contributions to urban mobility. Since its inception in 2023, BellHop has provided nearly 115,000 rides, serving over 150,000 passengers and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by more than 100 metric tons. Mayor Lynne Robinson commended the program for its accessible electric vehicle options, which reflect the city’s commitment to sustainability. The service is managed by Visit Bellevue and Circuit, with funding from hotel room fees and partner support. Executive Director Brad Jones emphasized BellHop's role in fostering connections within the community and enhancing the city's infrastructure.

The recognition aligns with the goals of the Seattle 2030 District, which aims to lower the environmental impacts of urban transportation. Three new full-size Kia electric vehicles were added to the fleet in March, expanding the service's capacity. BellHop exemplifies how innovative transportation solutions can shape a greener future for Bellevue.
