On January 17, Olympic medalist John Carlos, known for his iconic protest for civil rights at the 1968 Olympics, will deliver a keynote address at City Hall. On MLK Day, January 21, residents can participate in a tree planting at Eastgate Park, where volunteers will be provided with gloves, tools, and refreshments. The Crossroads Bellevue event will run from 11 a. m. to 3 p. m.
