BDA Board Approves Downtown Access Strategy Update

Bellevue, WALocal News

The Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA) Board of Directors has unanimously approved a significant update to its Downtown Access Strategy, which aims to tackle pressing mobility issues caused by recent population and job growth. This update, finalized on February 19, followed a comprehensive six-month evaluation conducted by the BDA Transportation Committee, which included a series of four meetings focused on member discussions. The original strategy, adopted in 2011, needed to be revised due to the emergence of new technologies and urban mobility initiatives. The new strategy not only reflects current challenges but also promotes more efficient communication among members with clear and concise language. A supplemental Mobility Catalog has been introduced to enhance awareness of various transportation projects and initiatives within the region.

The updated Downtown Access Strategy will strengthen the BDA’s advocacy efforts, enabling better engagement with policy influencers. The successful completion of this update is credited to the dedicated efforts of the Transportation Committee Co-Chairs and members. Interested individuals are encouraged to join the BDA Transportation Committee to further contribute to mobility discussions in Bellevue.
