A Gala Reimagined Going Virtual to Support Imagine Housing

Bellevue, WALocal News

Imagine Housing is reimagining its traditional annual gala by launching its first Virtual Auction from September 26 to October 3, 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the largest non-profit builder of affordable housing on the Eastside, the organization aims to continue supporting over 1,400 residents, including seniors and formerly homeless individuals, who are feeling the economic impacts of the crisis. The auction invites guests to register for free and bid on more than 100 unique items, culminating in a livestream grand finale styled in the "Roaring 20's. " To elevate the virtual gala experience, attendees can purchase Dinner and Cocktail Party Packs, designed to enhance the evening's festivities while contributing directly to the cause. Imagine Housing's Regina Meyer highlights the importance of this event, stating it helps to sustain the organization’s commitment to building permanent, affordable housing.

The urgency of the situation is underscored by the rising need for accessible housing, as many residents are employed in sectors severely affected by the pandemic. This innovative approach not only raises funds but also fosters community spirit in challenging times. Sign up today to support a cause that directly impacts the Eastside community.
