Bellevue Beats Brett Benton

Bellevue, WALocal News

Brett Benton, an Alabama-born artist, developed a passion for country blues in his youth, influenced by his family's music collection. He ventured to the Pacific Northwest in 2016, aiming to share his unique blend of hill country and delta blues with new audiences. His artistic journey led him to sign with Seattle-based Knick Knack Records, culminating in the release of his debut studio album "You Got To Pray" in April 2019. The Bellevue Beats concert series is designed to reignite the Downtown Bellevue music scene, showcasing Benton and other talented performers. Spanning from April through autumn, this series features free concerts each week at various parks and plazas, allowing attendees to enjoy live music while exploring the community.

The initiative not only promotes cultural vibrancy but also fosters a sense of connection among residents. Fans can engage virtually with past performances on the Bellevue Downtown Facebook page and website. This concert series exemplifies the city's commitment to enhancing its arts and entertainment landscape.
