The Bellevue Downtown Association (BDA) recently hosted its 50th Annual Celebration, attracting over 600 civic leaders and community members committed to the growth of Downtown Bellevue. The evening featured lively emcees Linda Hoffner and Claire Sumadiwirya, who set an energetic tone for the festivities. BDA board chair Trinity Parker highlighted the organization's successes and the importance of continued belief in its mission. John Schoettler, honored with the Placemaking Award, reflected on Amazon's dedication to the community and the collaboration that defines Downtown Bellevue. The event also recognized Brad Miyake for his 33 years of service as the former Bellevue City Manager, awarding him the 2024 John Boespflug City Builder Honoree title.
