Bellhop A New Way to Ride in Downtown Bellevue

Bellevue, WALocal News

Bellhop, a new free all-electric shuttle service, is set to launch in Downtown Bellevue on August 1, 2023, through a partnership between Visit Bellevue and Circuit. This initiative aims to replace short car rides of two miles or less—responsible for 35% of local trips—with sustainable transportation options, potentially reducing CO2 emissions by over 100 metric tons annually. The service will provide last-minute transport solutions within a 4-mile radius of the downtown area, catering to both residents and visitors. Riders can easily hail a shuttle using the Circuit app, ensuring convenient travel. Additionally, the service is pet-friendly, allowing small pets to accompany passengers.

This pilot program will be available until December 31, 2023, with aspirations for further community integration and growth. Brad Jones, Executive Director of Visit Bellevue, highlighted the service's potential to revolutionize last-mile travel and enhance the visitor experience.
