Eastrail is an innovative 42-mile trail project designed to connect several communities in Washington's Eastside, including Renton, Bellevue, Kirkland, Woodinville, Redmond, and Snohomish. The initiative emphasizes safety, accessibility, and environmental integration, making it a vital asset for local residents seeking healthier lifestyles. With over $43 million in funding secured, recent achievements include the completion of the Totem Lake Connector bridge and the Northup Connector. The project will unveil the historic Wilburton Trestle, a 1,000-foot-long bridge enhancing connectivity by 2026. The NE 8th Overcrossing is set to open soon, featuring art installations honoring the Japanese-American community's history.
