New Art Installation by Sarah Robbins Unveiled at Meydenbauer Center

A vibrant new public art installation by Sarah Robbins has been unveiled at the Meydenbauer Center, strategically located near the Bellevue Downtown Light Rail Station and the Bellevue Transit Hub. This artwork not only serves as a visual centerpiece but also symbolizes Bellevue's rich cultural landscape, weaving together the histories and contributions of the Japanese and Ukrainian communities. Tim Carr, CEO of the Bellevue Center Convention Authority, remarked on the installation's significance as a gateway to the city, celebrating urban growth alongside natural beauty. Brad Jones, Executive Director of Visit Bellevue, expressed optimism about the artwork's ability to inspire visitors and enhance their experience within the city. Known for her dynamic public art, Robbins brings her creative vision to life in this latest project, expected to attract attention from both residents and tourists.

A graduate of Corcoran College of Art + Design, Robbins has previously activated spaces across the region with her vibrant murals. This installation aligns with Bellevue's goals of promoting multiculturalism and inclusivity while enhancing the city's aesthetic appeal, standing as a testament to the city's commitment to embracing diverse cultures and artistic expression as it continues to grow.
