Man sneaks into Bellevue apartment, exposes himself to students, refuses to leave

A disturbing incident in Bellevue, Washington, has left a group of international students shaken after a man allegedly broke into their apartment while they slept. The suspect, identified as Steven Malepeai, reportedly entered through a door that may not have been securely locked around 5:45 a. m. Upon waking, the students found Malepeai in their bedroom, where he exposed himself and behaved inappropriately. The students confronted him, expressing their fears that he could be armed or violent.

One student, Adel, recounted the terror of the situation, noting that it was a particularly distressing experience for one of the women who had just arrived in the U. S. The police are investigating the incident and have taken Malepeai into custody. The alarming breach of safety has raised concerns among residents, especially regarding the security measures in place for apartments in the area.
