Owner Maria Beck, who moved from Scandinavia to Seattle, is passionate about sharing her culture's principles of comfort and enjoyment. The café will feature exclusive coffee blends roasted specifically for its menu, alongside Scandinavian-style snacks and brunch options. Since its first location opened in South Lake Union in 2019, Cafe Hagen has successfully expanded to multiple sites in Seattle.

The Bellevue location will be a significant milestone, marking the café's first foray into the Eastside market. Furthermore, Cafe Hagen plans to open another outlet in Kirkland in the fall of 2024, indicating its growth strategy in the region.
